Paint development

SW color has in-house research and development. Our lacquer technicians and lab assistants lay the foundation for giving each customer a product which fulfills exactly their specifications and which can be processed optimally on their system. They pass on this enormous knowledge to the next generation by training young people as lacquer lab assistants.

Coloring pastes development

The development of a UP coloring paste starts with the customer requesting the desired color tone, taking into account the intended use. During development, a distinction is made between UP pastes for SMC/BMC manufacturers and producers of sheet goods. The UP resin to be used (monomer or styrene-free) and the pigments are selected depending on the requirement profile.

For quality and color control, either sample laminates or pressed parts are produced in the laboratory. If both the visual impression and the colorimetric results meet the requirements, the sample parts are sent to the customer together with the UP paste for testing.
